A planner but also friend

Let's start off with a huge CHEERS to you getting engaged!

Now, I understand that after you get to soak up the excitement of getting to be with your partner for the rest of your life, you get hit with the overwhelming feeling of "oh crap, I have to plan a wedding??." I can be that girlfriend saying, girl yes BUT I will be right there with you!

I started working weddings when I was 17 as a banquet server at a Hilton. Man, I loved it. I would sneak away from my duties of putting ranch dressing in a fancy dish so that I can watch each ceremony. After graduating from UNC Wilmington (wooh!), I was promoted to wedding manager. I worked twelve-hour days and absolutely thrived from it. I bonded with my couples and gained so much happiness from their praise. Then I realized that this is what I love to do. I decided to continue my career in Charlotte but unfortunately, the road stopped there when the pandemic hit. Don't worry, this is not going to turn into a pandemic story. I wanted to continue wedding planning so I offered to do it free! After planning a couple of weddings I said, 'hold up! I am an adult now (unfortunately) let's start a dang business!" and that my lovely new bride is how I started Social Events By Gabrielle!
